Founded in 2017 by Bob Barnes as Bayside Sailing Club, Sapphire Bay Yacht Club (SBYC) has grown into a welcoming haven for boaters and lake enthusiasts. While our name and reach have evolved, our core mission and values remain true to Bob’s original vision—bringing people together through a shared love of the water.

This year, we’ve proudly expanded our membership to include not just sailors, but all boaters and those who cherish the beauty of Lake Ray Hubbard.

At Sapphire Bay Yacht Club, our vibrant community thrives on connection and adventure. Whether it’s sailboat racing, cruising, raft-ups, live music, overnight stays, or lively parties on and off the dock, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
